The Aiko 100% MAPP Gas GAS-MAPPRO-A is a 14.1oz / 400g propylene fuel cylinder designed for use with torches specifically made for propylene fuel. Suitable for professional, workshop and industrial torch applications where a compatible fuel cylinder is required.

For safe and reliable operation, always inspect the cylinder, valve area, torch and seals before connection. The cylinder should be kept upright during attachment and use, and all connections should be checked carefully for gas leakage before ignition.

Important Safety Instructions

Use only with torches designed for Propylene Fuel.

Before Use

  • Check the cylinder and torch seals before use.
  • Never use with damaged or missing seals.
  • Discard the cylinder if dirt or rust particles are present in the valve area.
  • Ensure the torch is switched off before attaching the cylinder.
  • Hold the cylinder upright while connecting the torch.
  • Attach outdoors, away from pilot lights, flames, sparks and other ignition sources.
  • Hand-tighten only. Do not use tools to tighten.
  • Do not over-tighten, as this may damage the seals.
  • Check all connections for leaks using soapy water.
  • Watch for bubbles, listen for escaping gas, check for extreme cold and be alert for a rotten-egg odour.
  • Do not use if a gas leak is detected.

During Use

  • Always operate the cylinder in an upright position to help prevent flare-ups or flashes.
  • Never drop or throw the cylinder.
  • If the torch sputters or flares up, turn the cylinder upright and switch off the torch.
  • Ventilate the area to remove any unburned gas before restarting.
  • Slowly switch the gas back on and re-light only after proper ventilation.
  • Keep away from pilot lights, flames, sparks and other ignition sources.

After Use

  • Switch off the torch and allow it to cool.
  • Detach the torch when not in use.
  • Detach outdoors, away from flames, pilot lights, sparks and other ignition sources.
